Trey LOVES to cook, just like his dad. He treated Madi and I to BBQ Meatloaf Muffins and Smashed Potatoes! It was yummy!

We are running a snowball fight contest for labels at Trey's school. Every Friday I pick up the labels and count them. Believe it or not, all the labels in this folder are from ONE TEACHER ALONE! I am beginning to dream about labels.

I had no clue what to take a photo of today. As I walked to our kitchen I noticed the sun decending through the houses outside, so I grabbed my camera and took a quick shot of it.

Both of my kids LOVE Chapstick. It often makes me wonder if they think Chapstick is a food product since they both get caught eating/licking it! As we were waiting for Trey to get out of TaeKwonDo Madi made sure to apply her fair share of Chapstick. Thankfully none was eaten.

I felt as though this would be a fitting photo for my day today. I ALWAYS wait until the LAST minute to get gas. I don't know why, but I ALWAYS do!

Today, Trey's class had a Chinese New Year Celebration. It was a GREAT TIME. They had HOMEMADE Fried Rice (TO DIE FOR), Egg Rolls, Fortune Cookies and Dragon Tea! Trey was MOST excited because he and his classmate, Tyler, got to show the class how to use chopsticks!

We went down to the park again to let the kids and the dog run around some more. Trey was very amused at how Chloe kept walking on the ice!

We all decided we needed to get out of the house yesterday, so we all took a walk down to a little park in our subdivision. Right by the park there is this neat hill area with a little water run through. Well, leave it to my husband to be danagerous and scare the beegesus out of me and jump over the ice water with Madi. Madi REALLY enjoyed it, so I guess I cant complain!

Today was a very sad day. This morning I got word from a friend in Arizona that Trey's old Taekwondo Master had past away in a fatal car crash. It amazes me how hard things like this can hit you when you least expect them to. Master Jackson was a great mentor to Trey, he is the one who introduced TaekwonDo to my son and the one who gave him his first week of lessons. I will forever be greatful for all the wisedom he passed on to Trey through his martial arts training. He was such a kind and loyal man...he truley will be missed by us and everyone in the Sierra Vista community. (I plan on putting up a picture of Trey & Master Jackson as soon as I can find the disc with that image...but for now, a tribute from his old Fire Chief days will do the work courtesy of the Fry Fire Department)

For about 5 months now, Madilyn has been coloring and holding her pens "the correct way". Everyone who I come across who sees her coloring comments at how advanced her "pen holding" skills are. Not sure if they are paying me a compliment or not. But I do not recall Trey holding his writing utensils like this at this young of an age. Maybe I have an artist or writer in the making? Hmmmm

Today was sort of a blah day, did not know what to take a photo of. So, when all else fails, give your camera to your 22month old. Yes, Madilyn took this picture while we were at Trey's TaeKwonDo class. Love how she captured the Goal of the belt and the mirrored images!

Size doesn't seem to matter in this house. ALL DAY I hear Chloe (our chocolate lab) and Oscar (our dachshund) going at it! If you were an outsider, you would think they are beating each other up in some harmful way...but really, they are playing with each other. They are good buddies who love playing tug of war with any dog toy they can find! It is quite humorous to watch!

Sit down, buckle your seatbelt and HOLD ON TIGHT! (Especially when daddy is driving!) This red car has surely earned its keep in our house. Madi loves to go SAILING around the whole house at FULL SPEED in this car! I was lucky to be able to snap a good shot while they were "2 wheeling".

Hard at work...you know, it does take a lot for a 22 month old to empty out an almost entire cabinent and rearrange all the packages! It is just a shame that it isn't as much for to put everything back in the cabinent as it was pulling it out!

This was my EXCITING, Saturday evening! I am the labels coordinator and Trey's elementary school...and tonight was the night we worked on the Campbells Soup Labels. Ugh, what a pain. Tomorrow it is Box Tops night!

One of the banks in our city was doing a snowman coloring contest. One night Trey was bugging me, so I urged him to color. He started to color and then wanted to go through my scrapbook stash to find some glitter so he could make snow. Well, after winter break, I received a call from the bank telling me that Trey won for his grade level! He won a $100 savings bond!!!! How cool is that? He was SOOOO excited. He now has told me that he will enter EVERY coloring contest companies put out there!!!

On the way to dropping Trey off to school this morning..we all had some fun watching the tempurature drop degree by degree. I snapped this photo upon school arrival...and yes, it does say -2! UGH, I HATE the cold! By the time I got home my car was reading -5 outside. CRAZY! Especially for this Southern California native!

My daughter LOVES Jack's Big Music Show. She has the DVD, the CD and watches it EVERY morning! Trey had taekwondo tonight, and it was FREEZING outside, so we chose to stay in the car and watch Jack's Big Music Show! Now, I don't mind watching, but you know you have seen it too much when you can sing all the songs and say all the lines!! Real swell! (ha)

Grocery shopping...BLEH! There are some days when I LOVE it, but then there are others, like today, when I would LOVE to have someone else do it for me. I tried to be frugal today and use as many coupons as I could...and I did pretty good! Now, if I could just find someone to put all the stuff away! Of course I forgot to take a picture when I had ALL the bags set out...but hey, at least I remembered halfway through to snap a quick shot!

Imagination...that is one thing my kids certainly have. Today as I was sitting down working on a Box Tops poster, Madi helped herself to a box of staple refills. She was happily playing with them when all of a sudden I kept hearing her saying mom, dad. I decided to watch her and she was pretending one staple refill was Mom and the other was Dad! It was too CUTE! I love childrens imaginations!!

Paul was picking up the kitchen today and noticed Trey didn't open his toy he got in his Arby's kids meal. It so happened to be a Glider which Madi thought was the BEST THING EVER! So, Paul had to show Madi how to throw the glider the 'right way'. It was too cute! Everytime it flew, Madi jumped with joy and said...'AGAIN'.

Today was PineWood Derby Day for the Boy Scouts/ Cub Scouts. We are HUGE Disney fans, so it just seemed right to make a Splash Mountain Log Ride Derby Car! Trey did insist we add Star Wars characters as the riders though! Paul even got out the bling gems and made Mickey ears, very crafty huh? The race was a fun one, even though Trey did not place in the end...he enjoyed building the car with his dad and racing it with his friends!

Madi LOVES Carousels. Her love for these rides spurred up from when we went to Disneyland. We must have riden that carousel 50 times. Well, today, we had to go to the mall to look at some luggage for Paul...had to make a brief stop at The Disney Store to visit Mickey, madi's other 'new' thing. Well, as soon as we walked out of the store Madi went HAULING to the carousel. After MUCH protest, and standing there for 15 minutes, we gave in, bought the $2 token for ONE RIDE and went on the carousel!

On January 1st...I was one of the lucky people who bought a Project 365 Kit. Well, due to CK's server overload problem, amongest other things, I somehow ended up with 2 kits. Well, I personally did not need 2, so being the good Ebayer I am, I put it up on Ebay figuring I would at least break even on that purchase. Well, today my auction ended...and HOLY CRAP...it ended for $255!! Now, keep in mind, I paid $44 and some change for the kit and shipping. Paul was QUITE happy with my profit...he urged me to sell my other one, but I told him NO, that one was MINE!

Wednesday are sometimes a busy night for me. It is normally the night I begin work on the Lifetime Moments Newsletter. So, here I sit, multi-tasking on the computer working on the newsletter, listing some items on Ebay, strolling Facebook and watching CSI, which I received today via Netflix. Just a typical Wednesday night for me.

Well, today was a hard picture day for me...I had no clue what photo to take. After playing around with some of my camera settings, this is what transpired. Trey loves playing under our dining room table with our dog Chloe. I shot this picture and thought it was the sweetest thing ever! Even though it seems the focus isn't there, I think the semi soft focus and blurriness makes the picture "different" and "Unique".

Back to the daily grind! Today was Trey's first day back from his winter break. How I will miss the sleeping in. Oh well, there are other holidays, right? Every morning and afternoon it is a ritual that I pass this sign. It is a constant reminder of going and coming from school. (it is also a reminder to obey the speed limit cause there are always those sly coppers hiding behind the hill that is just a couple feet past this sign!)

4/365

This photo is just so precious to me. I went into Trey's room to get his bed ready and my little helper Madi of course followed! After the bed was all set, alarm ready to go...I headed back downstairs with my companion and little helper. It wasn't until I got into the kitchen I noticed she had grabbed one of Trey's GI Joe dolls and was hugging it every second! I quickly grabbed my camera and asker her to give GI Joe another hug. This is the picture that came out of that! She glady hugged GI Joe with all her might! He remained her companion for the rest of the evening.

It is getting close to Pinewood Derby day for the Cub Scouts...and like normal, Trey has waited til the last minute to pick out his pinewood derby car design. With literally a week until the race Paul and Trey FINALLY got to cutting out and designing the car. Since we are such Disney buff's, the car design will be a Splash Mountain Log Ride! The picture shows Paul with his true colors. The man can't seem to take a photo without a cigar in his mouth! (UGH- I hate that cancer causing excuse of a hobby he has!)

There are always 4 main items that we see at least 3-4 times each week. Those 4 items being Trey's TaeKwonDo gear. We always make sure we have them laid out and ready to go and never leave home without the following pictured items: TaeKwonDo Bag, Uniform (Pants & Shirt) and Belt. Should one of these items get lost...oh my...will there be trouble!!! TaeKwonDo seems to be the "major" activity these days in my household. Trey is VERY active in this sport and we found the perfect Dojang for him to practice in since we left Arizona. The only downside is it is a 45 minute drive from our house. From now on, everytime I see any of these items, it will remind me of all the time on the road as we head to TaeKwonDo for my sons favorite pastime!

Our New Years Day family tradition is to watch the Rose Parade whether that mean it is in person on Colorado Blvd or on TV. Since we were not in California this year, we had to opt with the TV option! This isnt the best photo, especially since I was trying to get one with the kids actively watching the TV and the TV set in view, but the angles in my room wouldnt allow me to do so...so this was the next best thing. Trey is staring in amazement as he does EVERY year as each float passes by and Madilyn's expression says it all. She let out a major "WOOOOOWWWWWW" when she saw the Sesame Street Float, in particular Elmo. The Rose Parade always amazes me. Such gorgeous floats, designs and flowers! Hopefully next year we can take both of the kids to see the parade live and in person!
